We stayed for 6 nights as part of our honeymoon tour of Italy. Loved the hotel, some say it’s dated, but for us it just showed it’s history that should be appreciated. Our room had a sea-view with balcony and to look over the bay of Naples …
Lovely situation with amazing views of the ships and boats in the bay especially from the dining room. The breakfasts were exceptional. The staff remembered if you had any preferences in my case hot chocolate.|Our room was big and had …
Location couldn't be beat - right on the water with amazing views of the sea and easy to walk to all things in Sorrento town. Super convenient elevator down to and up from the beaches / ferry port area for guests only. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even rememering by breakfast drink order. Breakfast was included and was a good spread to start the day - mostly pastries, fruit, yogurt style. Hotel itself is definitely older, hotel key was a real key. Could probably use some updating, but worked well and added to the charm.
Great choice for those staying in Sorrento. Tramontano has its own (free) elevator access down to the beach which is perfect after a long day in the sun/water. If the beach is full, the pool is a fantastic free alternative, with food and drink service. The bathrooms are updated and recent. The bedroom/main area has a touch of antiquity but is still very clean and high quality. You can't beat the view, and you're walking distance from the main streets. Just beware of the low quality tourist trap restaurants nearby. Do some research and look for the ones that are more authentic, they're definitely worth it.
TLDR: It's a clean, well located accommodation in a beautiful City. Highly recommend.
My room was large and very well appointed. They could dust a little better, but at 5'11, I notice dust many people may not see. The bathroom was large with a huge bathtub I could soak in and be totally submersed. The front desk was very …
Absolutely horrible customer service. The staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. We arrived on our honeymoon after it was booked through an agency and our room had clumps of hair on the floor, when we had mentioned to the staff that my husband has horrible allergies they said they can clean the room again but that there is nothing more they can do. When we confronted a second staff member and asked for management, the staff member responded "I already heard about your experience as this is a very small hotel and word travels fast". He was condescending and had a smirk on his face the entire conversation. The room was outdated, dirty, and overpriced. The staff refused to issue us a refund and we stayed at the hilton with much better experience. Do not ever stay here. By far worst hotel stay and experience our entire honeymoon.
A grand dame hotel on the water in old Sorrento. Highly recommend! ||Rooms are comfortable, especially the bed. Furnishings are dated, at least in the room I had. Looked like from the 70s. ||Maid service is excellent and we liked …
While the hotel is a little dated, the views and location made it memorable. You can't beat having breakfast with such an amazing view. The staff were friendly and accommodating when my husband became sick. Our room has an amazing view, it was nice to enjoy a glass of wine, enjoying the view.
